Kashrut in Ashdod is supervised by the Ashdod Rabbanut through the Religious Council. It issues three certificate levels: white for regular kashrut, yellow for Mehadrin, and light blue for 'Badatz Kehillot Ashdod', the strictest. The council says that at every level supervision is by visits, not a permanent mashgiach, and it asks diners to look for a valid original certificate naming the business and saying whether it is meat, dairy or parve. Its free guide, 'Kasher Letayel BeAshdod', lists certified restaurants, pizzerias and cafés; the places on this page come from it, with the level shown on each listing.
